Is The SD & MG Unicorn Gundam Worth Buying?

Sorry for being so quick to change my mind, but after thinking a bit, I kinda decided to skip out on the HG 00 Qan[T] and instead wait for the SD and MG version. My reasoning is that HG feel a bit not worth it if I am going to paint.

So in the mean time, I was wondering about the SD and MG Unicorn Gundam. Are they any good?

Tamiya Spray Paints

TS-19 : Metallic Blue
TS-20 : Metallic Green
TS-21 : Gold
TS-27 : Matte White (might get 2 of these)
TS-38 : Gun Metal
TS-50 : Mica Blue
TS-74 : Clear Red

* I also might get a white primer spray and a clear coat spray. Supposedly these 2 would help keep the paint stay on longer.

I have had a few recommendations to get the SD so I did. But the stupid courier is having troubles locating my place so... But I hear they're pretty good and okay as an OOB.

I have the SD Unicorn and i find it a very interesting build compared to other SD's. It lets you transform from unicorn to destroyer mode. Doesn't require much paint, since unicorn is all white unless you do custom paint scheme. And there's sometimes a gimmick that you can only get in SD form, which is that "beast mode" lol. I can't wait on how the SD Quan[T] will turn out. It'll be the next non-sangokuden kit they'll make since the Unicorn.

SD Quan[T] would be awesome

How about a complete set of Gundam 00 SD Kits? :kawaii:

Just imagine an SD Seravee or Kyrios or Dynames. :D

and yup Clear Coating is a good thing. :)

Do you mind if I suggest you use this thread instead of starting a new thread for each kit you want to buy?

http://gundam-eclipse.com/topic/2294513/18/#new

it's just easier to track in case you change your mind on which gunpla to get and have two abandoned threads.

Like Kibo said. If you want any help deciding which kits to get then ask in the "Trouble deciding what gunpla to get?" topic. Dont create new topics each time or we will delete them to stop the forum getting cluttered.

I guess I'll aim towards getting the SD and MG Unicorn Gundam (not the MG Ver Ka since that one sucks apparently).

The ver. Ka doesn't suck. You just have to mod the pieces on the leg and it'll have the same bend as the ova version.

I was thinking about the MG Unicorn Gundam OVA Version as you're aware, but then I thought of something else.

What if Bandai makes a MG Full Armor Unicorn Gundam?

As an owner of the MG Unicorn Ver Ka, I can emphatically say it does not suck! The differences between the OVA and Ver Ka are pretty insignificant at best.

The SD Unicorn is about $10, I wouldn't even hesitate in picking one up, it a great model.
