I watched like 15 episodes of the series and got bored. I was thinking of watching the movie so I can better appreciate their suits to make me want to buy the models from the GSD line more lol. Well Sword Impulse is my favorite because of the first episode. |

I never saw the movies but I heard it's basically just recaps. The first half of Destiny was kinda boring, but later I liked it a lot. But Shinn gets on my nerves!!! |

Yea I know its stock footage, but that means I can watch the whole thing in a few hours instead of watching the other 30+ episodes. |

I haven't watched the movies, but, one thing I will say about Destiny, if you don't watch Final+ (basically a special extended version of the last episode) you will be left very unsatisfied. I mean, the ending in final plus is still unsatisfying, and rage educing, but, at least it gives a bit of closure... Unlike the way the normal final episode goes. So, I'd say go ahead and watch the movies but, when you get to the final conflict, watch Final+. Though, I don't know if the movie's end integrated that kind of ending into itself, but I say stop and watch Final+ for good measure. Edited by Viridis, Jul 7 2010, 06:13 PM.

They did incorporate Final +'s ending, and added some extra stuff to the epilouge. I will say i'm still deciding on what to do as far as adding Destiny to my collection myself, but yeah, if you don't want to watch 50 1/2 episodes, I say go for the 6 hour movie set. |

imo half of this series is good, up until episode 34 where the main character is still the main character, because after that it's a horrible plot spiraling down out of control, where the main character gets pretty much replaced by a god complex character, and what was the bad guys turn into the "good guys". So the movies aren't split this way and neither leave a satisfying ending so it's up to you to decide which way you'll spend your time on this series. I would complain about one character that ruins this series, but i won't ruin the plot for you. |

You should watch the movies, but they do chamge some things, such as remember when Athrun finds Shin and Stella stranded on the Island it's changed to Luna, I guess its to lessen the shock later on, and the Final Plus is incorprated into the final ending, overall I think it is worth watching. |

I say watch the compilation movies up till you reach about Diocuia right after the battle for Lohengrin Gate, after that the series gets good...
