What with today being the release date for Monster Hunter Tri in America, I thought I'd ask if anyone here is going to be getting it.

If you've played the games in the past and liked them, then you will (So long as you have a Wii), but if you've played them and found them too hard, or haven't played them at all, Tri is apparently an excellent place to start. It's getting amazing reviews all over the place, saying that they've really even out the previously steep learning curve, and that the world is just so amazingly involving that it's hard not to be completely sucked in.
I don't think I like the sound of reduced difficulty, but I LOVE the sound of FREE ONLINE. Maybe if anyone here is up for it, we can throw up some friend codes and get some hunting going. The Monster Hunter games really are way more fun when you're working as a group.

Anyway, if anybody's thinking about getting the game, then ask some questions, or if you're definitely getting it, say what weapons you're going to mess with first.

After making sure my hammer is as reliable as always, I might give the switch axe a go. Other than that, I think I'm going to give lances a serious try this time. In Unite, I kept getting hit due to facing just a little too much to the side, preventing the shield from being any help, so I got frustrated quickly. What with having a control-scheme not requiring you to contort your hands into some awful mess this time, I might be more inclined to keep trying.

Got, played it, beat most of it, got kicked out of the house I lived in so I don't have it anymore, but I am looking forward to monster Hunter portable/ MHFU 2 american release
My heartbeat stumbles and my backbone crumbles, I feel, is it real,as the lynch mob double. They want blood and they'll kill for, drain me and they'll kneel for it, Burn me at the stake, met the devil, made the deal for it. Guillotine dreams, yeah, their guillotine gleams. The blood of their enemies, watching while they sentence me. Sentencing ceased, sentence deceased, and watch them bask in the glory of their holy disease.

how does i plastic.
just started playing this again at the beginning of the week. actually got around to replace my wii's video cables. have to say, so far its much easier than the psp games. i just beat the lagaiacrus, who is supposed to be measurable to the tigrex. i still have troubles with tigrex's from time to time but i can see myself beating the lagaiacrus easily with a few more attempts. also 5* star already... difficulty feels like hr3-4 in mhf2/u.

looking forward to mh portable 3 though. should be interesting (with the new village and all)
