Sorry If I'm creating a lot of threads recently. Let me know if you're getting tired of 'em. lol... that'll be a new rant thread ![]() This usually happens on a forum with multiple model kits and/or figures section. It sometimes bothers me that one person post a supposedly great customized figure (getting a lot of praises) that I don't even know what he did. It seems the kit is already made like that. (S)He's either that good or kitbashed the custom work. I try to always post a before and after pic of my work for reference, or WIP's. I think if you're sharing something to someone, do them a favor and not make 'em have to do the "work" of looking up the original kit and figuring what you did. lol...I know it's lazy for the viewer but hey...if you're showing off your work, make sure you impress your spectators and not leave them clueless. It doesn't happen here that much cause this forum is mostly Gunpla related. Though I'm wondering if this ever occurred to you on your visit to other forums. Actually probably what you feel looking at some of my stikfas custom on my gallery, if it's the first time hearing about them. lol...but I can't help it to be a hypocrite sometimes

The most important thing when showing a custom is to clearly show what parts have been customised. A before and after picture is the best way. |

hmmm for me. i only post on WIP those kit that i did changes regarding to their parts and of course i also so want to share something interesting on what i did (note: though i said about this im not yet a pro in the world of modeling just sharing my thoughts. hehe) . if i just recolor it or change its color scheme i probably post it on the finished one. besides explaining on what color and the techniques that i did is easy to explain by then. |
