I'm fairly new to gunpla, don't have that many kits, 3 ngs, 2 hgs, and 2 mgs. I figured this would be a good topic for other noobs like me. What I want to know is, what are/is the best mid-priced master grade kit(s) in terms of looks, articulation, build and plastic quality. price is what ever you consider to be "mid-priced", i think its around $25 (if there are even mgs that cheap) to $40 give or take, but most likely give. please indicate the price of the mg kit Edited by iamok, Mar 10 2010, 09:36 PM.

Any Ver.Ka kit really, all of them except the new UC ones are relatively cheap. Might I suggest Rx-78-2 or Victory. |

Most of the better mid range MGs cost about $40. The RX-78 one year war version costs about $35 and is a great model. Similarly the Zaku 2.0 is another great kit, costs up to $40 The MK-II ver 2.0 titans is an excellent kit for about $40 F91 is about $35. There are some othe nice kits that cost about the same such as most of the GM types, EZ-8, Ground gundam, gouf custom and the zeta plus units. All these kits i mention should'nt really cost more than $40. Check out online shops like Amiami for discount prices and 50% off shipping. |

The God Gundam is fine! F91 is very very good and awesome! I like the wing ver ka, if you're going to mod the wings and make it hold its beam rifle thats cool Kampfer is around 30 bucks or so, so I would get that too. xD |

USD 35 right? Good luck finding quality MG's that cheap outside Japan and HK.. at $35 the best MG you can get is MG zaku ver 2.0 there are the older MG's around your price level but it depends on your preference if they're good enough. You can always check out dalong's reviews,, he also puts the kit prices (in yen) in the kit info part of his reviews Edited by ditzy, Mar 10 2010, 09:29 PM.

Sometimes its better to wait for one of the websites to have sale. HLJ's last on had some pretty deep discounts on Master Grades of between 30% and 50%. This would allow you to get a higher price Gundam at a mid range price. On topic, MG RX78 OYW, F91, Gouf and Gelgogg all come to mind as decent mid range gundams which all cost in the region of $35. i think its best to pick out which kits you think look best for the price your looking for first. After picking the kits you like post it here and ask people what they think of each one and chose from that. |
