This Series is Really Fucking Unrealistic! Remember in those days in Gundam, Zeta and other classics. Pilots on earth had difficulty with Gravity? While in Seed they are capable of flying and battling in space and Earth freely! And i also hate that Last Resort shit, the Energies of the Gundam is empty, "Then They Use There Seed Skill" and there Ready to fight agian..... the Character designs Looks very lame, every character has the some Nose, eyes and Lips kinda. >_> Ever time you hear Kira! Kira, Kira, Kira ,Kira, Kira.... Kira is such a overpowered Pussy, what were the writers smoking when they made this crap. The Story is worse . no comments. >_< |

I don't remember fiction is realistic LOL. Honestly I never thought you guys would see the science fiction aspect of any Gundam animes. I personally watch Gundams known they all are dramas and waiting for the robot going to be displayed on toy store. |

The whole reason Yoshiyuki Tomino (I think mispelled the first bit) was so you can have a realistic approach to mecha shows. SEED basically butchered the reason why gundam exists and made it so it is extremely profitable and they can reuse as many scenes as possible |

Gundam was Tomino's way of bringing realism to the mecha genre. Before gundam all robots could fly without thrusters and create huge powerful attacks from nothing. Alot of gundam is influenced by actual science, the design of the space colonies was created 5 years before gundam by the physicist Gerard K. O'Neill. Thats why gundam was the start of the "real robot" genre. |

thats wat i like about the Other Gundams. "Realism" Reload Guns, Ammo ran out, busters fail. those are thing that i hardly see in Seed. Seed is just Fantasy Scifi. lol |

I thought that Gundam is an 'up-to-date' series. So they follow on the trend at that time. I don't remember what's the title but at that time harem anime is popular so they make a brat which surrounded by girls, kinda like that. Same goes with SEED which at that time the trend is gay anime like POT and boy meet boy stuffs. The stories become like that it's due the 'gay trend' so hell with mecha science space stuffs. The purpose is to reach girl viewer whom they love boyslove. The story itself still Gundam-ish, stop war with war, conflict between spacenoids and alien AND in the end the always typical of the bad guy is the third party wearing a typical same mask since 1979 but this time not wearing red army uniform. Of course lot of pew pew laser beam on space too. The big questions is: How many SEED gunpla do you buy? No matter how much you hate the series or bashing Kira Yamato IF in the end you bought even just one gunpla from SEED then you're the looser. And why's that? The purpose of every Gundam series is to promote the gunpla they don't care about your opinion they only care you to spent your money on the product even based on the things that you hate most. I'll be happy if anyone who hate the series does waste money to watch this crap. |

I do like the suit designs from seed/ destiny , however the story was 'weak' to say the least. I aswell didn't like kira, lacus and cagali. Athrun was ok to some degree being a soldier and much less a whiner like kira. Lacus i hated the most, they made her look like she was the one with all the answers at hand that a mature person who lived twice as long as her so naturally would have more 'life experience' couldn't come up with. Also the fact that bugs me the most is all the horrible beamspam. Made me feel like watching a G.I. Joe cartoon for little kids where they can't hit eachother from a 1m distance =p and in the end cobra always retreats ( athrun&co) when they have failed :p Edited by Pathis87, Feb 28 2010, 02:46 PM.

as always,i stick by the fact that i only like parts of seed destiny(episodes 1-34 and team minerva) and the manga side stories.seed sucked seed destiny episodes 35-50 sucked,stargazer sucked,and all the newer series(seed,destiny,00) are just rehashes of older series. seed=fail attempt of 0079,destiny=could've have been good attempt at zeta but failed due to change in directors,00=decent attempt at wing.hell if were talking about being realistic,what happened to g gundam?i should be piloting a gundam if that series is considered more realistic.personally,08th ms team is the most realistic |

That pretty much sums up all the problems i have with seed/destiny. and yes the mechs are nice. Seed/destiny were just Huge Gunpla commericals. |

BTW Why do you think Stargazer was bad?I thought it was pretty good it had Cool Gundams and none of Kira&Co.Seriously those guys where worse than CB from 00...I mean hell atleast CB planned to piss the nations of the world off enough to unite against them*eventhough it backfired badly* and they didn't take over a nation Wheras Kira's "plan" was to pick a fight and blindside both sides and expect them to stop fighting and hold hands eventhough EA was killing cordinators and experimenting on it's own kind now then you could say they didn't know but what do they do when they find out...NOTHING! worse they defend ORB who is harboring Djibril and stop ZAFT from catching him allowing him to blow up the PLANTS and what do they do?they go shopping. the world's in a goddamn crisis and they go fucking shopping!than that brown-haired assclown and pink haired bitch have the nerve to point the finger at Durandal and say he's the villian then invade and takeover ZAFT like the hypocritical powerhungry terrorists they are! |

I watched Gundam Seed, and I'll probably never watch it again... I watched the first episode of Destiny and didn't feel compelled to watch the second episode after that... What really gets me are the Seed fans! I posted a review of MG Strike Gundam on YT and they jump all over it like a school of hungry piranhas! I haven't gotten this much criticism since my PG 00 Raiser's custom color scheme... |

I've never watched any other gundam before and just finished Seed 2 weeks ago and now watching Seed Destiny. So far, it's not bad. So does that mean by watching Seed/Destiny first, it can only get better?

I watch Gundam Seed awhile back after "OO". Then started on Seed Destiny...I stop at the 10th episode. For some reason they battles seems to just drag on with endless skirmishes. I just rely on friends to fill in the gap if someone does make a reference to Seed Destiny. lol. |

I actually liked Seed. Not like it's the best thing on the planet, but, I still liked it. Kira in the beginning was okay. A lot of people complain about his whining, but, I can see that some people would probably act like that in war. Especially if they were only teenagers. Towards the end, he started to get a bit bad, then in Seed Destiny he just became the worst thing next to Lacus, who I've hated since the first episode. Though, I like a lot of people liked the MS designs lol. The battles seemed stale, and lifeless compared to other series, and they reused hella' scenes. over, and over. Seed Destiny, I thought was okay for the first half, and I hold the same opinion as Seed. Except Shinn I thought was a cool character with potential. Then all of a sudden everyone became utter crap. They brought back too many people. WAY too many people. How the hell did Mu La Flaga survive being hit with a positron beam!? Why bring back Andy Waltfeld again? He should have stayed dead, and not come back. I can go on about them digging characters out of graves. Also, some character's personalities seemed to change out of no where. Basically, I feel that Seed Destiny's 2nd half was terrible. Plus, they kept reusing scenes again. That might fly in 1979, where animation techniques weren't as refined, and the budget was tight, but not at the time Seed was made. Also, Lacus. Then, I watched the Original Gundam, and saw all the ideas they ripped onto Seed. MS designs isn't too much of an issue to me, but, it was the storyline, that pissed me off. The Desert Arc was a blatant rip-off of the episodes with Ramba Ral in the desert, and there were plenty of other storylines they took also. Seed/Destiny, imo, had potential, but, they screwed it up. It's one of those series where you have to watch it before the other series, or for the cool MS designs. Despite all my points, I don't think it's unwatchable... I don't think the characters are nearly as bad as everyone makes them out to be though. Aside from the 2nd half of Seed Destiny. (however, there was too much love drama. and Seed Destiny's special ending was "lolwut") /end long rant Edited by Viridis, May 9 2010, 01:50 PM.
