Very nice painting so far. I can't wait to see the next update. I have the Aaliyah, which I haven't painted yet. It'll be quite a task with all the small details. |

Thanks Oldtype78, its actually a lot of fun to paint, but its a slow process. I'm sure you recognise a lot of the parts completed so far as they are all common to both the Aaliyah (thats an awesome AC kit) and Unsung. I'm moving on to the legs and weapon units which are all unique to the Unsung and will have some more updated this weekend. I'm aiming to complete the Unsung over the next week and will review it on my youtube channel once complete . |

This is my latest update which showing the "Omer MP-O901 PM Missle" Back Unit. This is a monster weapon (which even has articulation) and is without a doubt my favourite Armored core weapons unit of all time!!!. The metallic red was achieved by using Mithril silver with a Tamiya clear red coat (thanks to GaoGaiGar for the idea): ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Thanks Sir, I really appreciate the positive feedback. Its a slow process to paint but I'm really enjoying the kit. The weapon units is about 10 cm in lenght and it's by far the biggest unit that I've built for an armored core model. My only worry is that it will make the finished model very back or side heavy. I've got three more really detailed weapons left to complete and the legs (which should look very impressive) and then its complete. |

I just need to cover up a few small nub marks and then it ready to assemble. It looks like a bigger model that previous kits and I'm expecting it to be a big as a MG. I got my most recent order for HLJ last Friday which included the MG MKII, AC Mirage Helios and a couple of HG kits, I had a nasty surprise in the form of a €20 customs charge. It was the first time in over two years of ordering that I got stung with VAT. |

looks realy impresive, I love silver lining, gotta try that one day ![]() yeah I had to pay VAT with my last purchase too, it was 130 ZL (45 USD), on the box was a note from customs - the content does not meet EU standarts (or something similar can't remeber exact words) |

Thanks Aulon. The silver panel lining was pretty easy to do, I just used Citadel Mithril Silver and thinned it down a little with water. I painted the panel line with a fine brush and then wiped off any excess with a cotton bud. I had a good run with avoiding VAT payments over the past year so it was probably inevitable I'd get charged at some stage. |

99.9% finished, this is the completed model. My photos below really don't do justice to the model so I'll take some better shots during the week with some natural light. The completed model a simply beautiful mech and I really think Kotobukiya have done a fantastic work with its ascetics. It does however feel very fragile and needs to be handled very carefully. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Some additional images: Spoiler: click to toggle |

Thanks Tiger4ruler, I was really please with how it turned out. I've no room for this on my display shelf so its going to take pride of place on my desk .I want to build a SD kit next and finish the Kshatriya (I'll hold off painting the binders until I have practiced a camouflage effect). The Alteisen will be my next Kotobukiya kit and will be a straight build with minimal painting. |

I also like the silver lining. Nicely done with the painting. I'm amazed on the work you put into this especially with the small parts. Which SD kit will you be assembling next?

Thanks everyone for you positive comments on the Alicia Unsung. Its a sweet model (as an AC fan I love it) but its not without a couple of flaws which would prevent me from recommending it to everyone. I'll review it on my channel shortly. @ Ditzy, some of the components were so small I had to use tweezers to pick them up. It was a tough kit to put together (I've even had to glue some parts together) but I enjoyed every second of the build. @ meadeslemicah, I've a couple of unbuilt SD's to pick from but the Tenshihou Shiba-I Sazabi arrived in the mail last week so I am planning to build and paint that one (SD Unicirn is still in the mail). BTW, I really enjoyed your review of the Cobra Maru. @ Ski, thanks you Sir, I agree 100%, the Unsung is Koto's sexist looking mech (until the Omer Lahire Stasis is released next month). ![]() |
