She also comes across as a dedicated gundam fan. I do agree its very frustrating to see the huge exposure TT Hongli are getting on her channel. The upcoming KO Sinanju review will result in a lot of business for Walter. Remember, if you have an issue with the content of someones channel on youtube the easiest solution is to hit the unsubscribe button.

If anyone disses the knockoff they get thumbsdown in the comment section. I dont think that she is giving balanced reviews anymore. Besides the MG blue frame all the bandai kits she's reviewed lately are SD to 1/100 NG. Most of her MG and PG reviews are now knockoffs.

I never really watched primes reviews. i dont need a 5 min segment on what colors the kit is moded in and stickers and crap ( since i paint all my kits) as far as her doing TT reviews , who cares? there always rrobert, Vegeta, and protoman.the only knock i have on prime is that she doesnt review Perfect grades. the scale where a review can save someone 150 bucks on a shitty PG cough WING ZERo CUSTOM Cough ^__^

Its buying them just to increase a gundam collection and cause they're cheap annoys me. Prime92 said that she would never have bought the PG MK-II from bandai cause of the cost, yet she has spent much more than the cost of one on fake kits. I love the way a newbie has started another knockoff topic, as if the other one has gone stale.

Prime just buys for numbers and only mods or paints a small percentage of her kits. A real hobbyist will go for quality over quantity anyday.

Knockoff makers would'nt even try to improve on a bandai kit because they dont have any designers. They just make copies of the bandai sprues.

Iv'e has 40+ years of model advice and knolage handed down to me. and i have been told MANY times that Bootlegs are trash and a true fan of modeling will use the best and make it better. K.o kits are not confined to gunpla. other companys makes K.o kits for jets /tanks/ figures and it is always low grade trash. a True hobby fan SAVES HIS MONEY FOR THE HOBBY HE OR SHE LOVES. a person that would build anything. is not a true hobby fan. Gunpla is a bandai product. Its not something so simple as chouseing one brand over the other when bandai is the ONE AND OLNY LEGIT BRAND. the fact that you compare gunpla to clothes was offenceive enough.... and no disprect to prime. I don't buy the DVD but I do buy the model kits, and that thanks to the fansubbers and distributors and RAW provider who spread Bandai works to the world. Somehow I thanks for the k.o maker because I see in the point of view of anime fan, those anime fan just love the robot/mecha which not even a hobbyist or a modeler who can paint or do excellent modification in model kit. They just want to have a thing/figure they love so much but they cannot afford it because of the price. I could change my statement only IF Bandai doesn't block my youtube video. Peace.

Thanks prime . i think i'll get this kit for my frist MG. since its cheaper than bandai. My knee jerk reaction is always WTF. people like me and others on this forum that are Gunpla Vet's dont pay it much mind. But the noobs do, and they are being steerd the wrong way IMO

Its really dumb in my opinion that you get hurt because I am saying she is a hobbyist and that brand names is what ppl only want. I have fun building my kits and all are bandai cause I haven't bought a k.o YET. This is suppose to be fun and when someone post a topic like this well than that's when someone is suppose to just say leave her alone shes a great reviewer and then delete this dumb topic that gets ppl made cause they like bandai more. I know its art and I'm an artist and a real artist will use anything to make there art come true and if that a cheaper kit then well good for them its about how THEY make it look. Unpleasant as the TT-Hongli is to some, I see this as a filler phase much as like you see in big animes. One day bigger and better videos will come, most likely with the release of the unicorn OVA. This filler content continues the subscriber base and ultimately aided to Prime92 becoming a partner. This commercialism linked with Walter Hobby may produce more reviews in a lesser time frame, but we may not get that dynamic exposure that was present beforehand.

Bandai invented gunpla There is no other legit brand thats like saying some company makeing a E pod insted of a Ipod and acting like it is a ttaly diffrent product insted of a trashy rip off #2 like i said before she isnt makeing tthongli look like anything she oob build em #3 Getting a canvas and Getting gunpla and painting are 2 diffrent things since anyone company can make a canvas. ONLY BANDAI CAN MAKE GUNPLA while i totaly understand that Prime isn't a high end modeler she just reviews gunpla, she does collect alot wich led me to belive she loves gunpla and while the fact may remin that she still does . the TThonli thing is a let down.

If a casual modeller with little or no knowledge of gunpla does a search for the words "gundam review" on youtube right now, prime92 reviews account for twelve of the first twenty results returned. This implys that anyone who goes onto youtube to find out more about gundam has a very high probability of going to her channel and encountering a KO review. As a youtube partner she has a certain reponsibility to protect Bandai's intellectual property. Given her linkup with W Hobby, IMO her more recent KO reviews are more akin to subliminal advertisements for this websites KO (LOL resin) products. I've always enjoyed prime92 reviews and honestly think she has built a fantastic channel which is an invaluable gunpla resource. Its just disappointing to see TT Hongli getting so much of her attention. Edit - LOL my spelling is terrible this evening Edited by tc012009, Feb 5 2010, 05:07 PM.
